The Hunt

This year Easter was the best I ever had. Basically it’s my first Easter since I came to the States. Calvin and I never had a chance to celebrate Easter. Maybe due to us have no kids. And the sad part of me is that every Easter; Calvin won’t be here to celebrate with me. And I will stay home on Easter.

But this year is a different chapter of my life. Everything changed since I moved to this new neighborhood. I love it a lot. So this year, I got too celebrated with some good friends that I met few months ago. I’m glad I met them. That is why; I always believe God has a great planned for everyone.

Last Saturday, our church hosts an event for Easter. We had a Big Hunt at Rivermark’s park, about half a mile from where I live. It’s a big success. I had so much fun running around on the field with eggs for the kids to look for them. Of course, I’m signed to do refreshment too. I can’t remember when is the last time I’m actually worked out?? All I knew, I can’t wait for Calvin to come back and reward myself with a big meal. Emmm……………………….

Great Easter Hunt indeed!

Before I forget, we had over 6000 eggs on the field. And it took less than 10 minutes to finish everything. I heard someone said to us that; it’s looked like a vacuum cleaner on the field. You can see a colorful field turned into a green field. I cracked out when I heard it. Too funny for me!

RENAISSANCE FAIRE

I went to the renaissance faire on last Saturday. Omg, It’s like a dream come true for me. I been always wishing that one day I get to experience the 17th century, I guess. Maybe 15th century. I’m kinda bad in history. Anyhow, I love to watch this kind of movie since I was very very young. I still remember when I was young, I loved to watch all the fairy tales that have this kind of show. They showed it in the morning. I will watched it when it is a school holiday. Gosh……….and my favorite Fantaghiro. You have to ask my sister Mavis. We both so crazy about it and we actually record it on a tape. I think we used the ninja turtle tape. LOL!!!! Shhhhh……………………

Back on track……..It’s was a fun day for me. I can’t explain how I feel when I was there. Calvin knew from the beginning I love this kind of thingy. He always said….. I love ugly stuffs and I’m recarnation from olden days. I don’t care, me like it.

So, my friend Weng came along with us. And ticket was kinda expensive I guess but it’s worth it for me. At first, I wanted to rent the dress but Weng kinda not into it in the beginning but she changed her mind after I got my head piece. I just have to have it………. Something to remember and I hanged it on my photo frame at home. I’m so excited about the whole thing. I got to experience the dress which I totally have a hard time breathing. After walking half way, I have to loosen up my top for a bit. Gosh…. My rib was hurt when I got back home. I guess, my body just useless. Too fragile!

Alright, let’s the photos tell the stories.

Below shown that,

●I bought my head piece and wearing it on the spot. Having hard time paying it. It cost about USD19.80 after tax.
●Us with the costume and the very tall man. I guess, he’s the guard of the castle. We just the maid.
●Witness the talent of the baby. Carried by her father and I bet she been train since she was a baby. (should have join the American got talent)

●Calvin think, they were cool with the guitar with the chick dancing around
●Me with the big turkey leg. Yum yum!

●Baby in a barrel (no idea what it call that)
●No idea why shot the couple. I guess just for the boobies.
●Here comes the queen. (she deciding who to pick for the best pirates)

●We with friendly friend who offer to take photo with us.

Barbeque Cook Off Weekend

Last weekend, I supposed to go to my friend’s house at Reno. But I can’t make it coz Calvin needed to fly off to Los Angeles on Monday. I don’t want Calvin to be in the rush and get tired for the trip. I knew he’s going to be very tired and busy in LA. So, I understand that.

So, we ended up planning to go to the Barbeque cook off and invited Ivy and her family. It was such a last minutes thing. When we reached there, it kinda not expected. It’s not that huge or a big thing as I thought. Maybe because, it’s was a 2nd year for this event. But we had a great time together. It’s all about a good company. We had a best barbeque ribs. Soft and tender. The meat just came off from the bone without any hard work.

Let’s the pictures tell it all.

Kite Festival

What do we know about kite? Kite is a flying tethered object that depends upon tension of a tethering system. The necessary lift that makes the kite fly is generated when air (or in some cases water) flows over and under the kite’s wing, producing low pressure above the wing and high pressure below it. This deflection also generates horizontal drag along the direction of the wind. The resultant force vector from the lift and drag force components is opposed by the tension of the one or more lines or tethers. The anchor point if the kite line may be static or moving (e.g., the towing of a kite by a running person, boat or vehicle)

We decided to go to the kite festival to learn some tricks. We were intended to get a big one but dang…. It’s pricey. We not sure if we going to play with it all the time. Same as the Wii. It been always sitting on the tv stand and do nothing. Anyhow, we went there at noon time but parking way full. We called each other to see where we are. We wanted to get a close parking and it’s easier for us. And we lucky, we get to parked close to each other. What we do is we took a bus from the downtown to the destination. The driver didn’t accept our money as it was a last stop before going to the Kite’s location. LUCKY! It was my first bus ride in the bay area. Pathetic but it’s true. Weather was great, it was cloudy and windy and I love it. To bad, I got a tan from it and I hate it after that.

It was so spectacular! When u on the spot…………and u look up to the sky. It was so colorful.

Cal and I was so hungry and we can’t wait to get some food. He He He………. We had corndogs and garlic fries with shrimps. YUM O !!! Sat on the ground while eating and watched the kites in the sky. How romantic is that. LOL!!! And the 2nd thing that can’t take away my eyes was those puppies. OMG……. Cute! Photos below showed where I seated.

And us again!

Cheers!
