Calvin took me to a French restaurant for our anniversary. I’m always blessed that I have a man that love food as much as I do and often surprised me with this beautiful romantic dine for us to enjoy.
Nothing special this time due to Calvin’s boss is in town and we have to babysit him for a bit. Just dinner! At least I got my Foie Gras :D
Calvin and I decided to have some adventure on trying new restaurant. Can’t really remember when is the last time we actually trying new stuffs.
We drove to Palo Alto and thinking we can have lunch there and maybe stop by the shopping mall or maybe IKEA whatever we feel likes after lunch. We just walked along the strip and checking out restaurant. I can’t recall the first restaurant we wanted to try but it was a wait and I’m not in the mood of waiting as I’m so mad hungry. I just want to sit and have my food without a long wait. I was so grouchy the all time cause Calvin just likes to do the opposite of whatever I want. I want fast and he picked the busiest restaurant while I want to wait him want something fast. WTF right? Is this what happen after having a long relationship and eventually not in the same page?
As I was being mad on Calvin, we saw this restaurant which is empty and we went in to try it out.

What I think about it? The food just okay but I did regret ordering it. Tuna don’t taste as good as it look. But no complain on the green but I don’t think I will order this again in the future.
I know this is late post about 3 month ago. But since it’s a holiday weekend and I don’t want to sleep early causes me on wanting to update my entry. I know I been neglected it for a long time and not consisted about it. And my blog are totally a boring blog ever which I don’t write anything interesting but non-sense shit about how pathetic my life is. Aren’t I’m suck big time? I’m saving it on a next entre about how my life sucks.
Anyhow, Chinese New Year in the States is not as grant as in Asia. No lion dance everywhere and it just a normal day when you know your whole family is having a great time. What worst, I don’t get any red envelope for a very long time instead having an envy attitude on my sisters. Hearing them on how much money and won on gambling making worst for me. How I wish to have that fun. Chinese New Year is a time where you get to me all your family members from near to far but I miss is all. Why is the damn air ticket high rocket on festival? Don’t they suppose to help us to reunite with the family??? No??? If only I own an airlines. Damn shit!
Fine! Accept the fact that I’m away from family and not having a reunion dinner with them. I have a hard time celebrate it with my hubby too. I really really wanted to cook like what my family doing. BUT how am I going to cook when it’s only two of us. Mad sad! Then, most friends is having family dinner and can’t find anyone and what sad; can’t even make reservation coz we not more than seven party. Again MAD SAD! Well, we managed to get on hold on one friend to joined us but I realized is way different. I don’t feel the special event at all. It’s like having a normal dinner like usual. Arrhhhhh………………. Fuck life!
I’m not sure if my bf even understands about me wanting to have CYN with friends and family? Seriously, I think he doesn’t even care. He doesn’t like vacation at all besides work. And you know, he doesn’t even allow me to travel by myself coz he so selfish like that. Only he can travel himself. Maybe he has a second wife out there. Hmmm…………..???

We did have more food but I forgot to capture it before it eaten.
Calvin’s birthday was last Wednesday and we did not do anything big or special this year. Weekend was full as we has wedding event and too troublesome to host a party as we was sooo tired from wedding.
Of course we gonna celebrate it at the restaurant. I don’t mind to cook but the king wants CRABS! Ha ha ha……. And the king choose “Boiling Crab’s restaurant”. I love their crabs over there and it’s my 2nd time there. One thing I hate about the restaurant is we have to wait for at least 2 hours and they will always tells you to wait about 45 mins everything you asked them. WTF right? We learn from it, eat something before heading there and go early. Even you’re there at 6:30pm like we did; you still have to wait for 2 hours. It’s not weekend folks…… we went there on WEDNESDAY and it’s pack!
Anyhow, birthday person always get their wish.
Let’s start when we got seated. Of course, we did some camera shot first before we all mess up.
This is our friends Mary and Paul. They actually joined us to celebrate Calvin’s birthday. So nice of them.
We ordered 6 pounds of shrimps. See that??? It so damn GOOD! Worth the wait for 2 hours.

Our main course came and the birthday boy was happy to have his crabs. We have Alaska King Crabs legs and Dungeness Crab. So Yummy I tell you!

After the hard work for about 2 hours; we finally done with our crabs and we full of crabs too. I thought I’m going to be crab out but I’m not. As I’m updating this entre, I actually want crabs again. Arrgghhhh…. Hate this craving shit that I’m having.
So we left the place pretty late and we ready to go. Before that, of course we need a group pic. See how messy it can get. So, you don’t have to really dress up nice.
WAIT! I’m not done. How can we end the night without a cake? I bought Calvin a cake in the afternoon and it’s pretty expensive for a small cake but it worth the penny coz it’s really damn delicious. Besides, we don’t eat it all the time. So it’s okay and we can have cake out. And I want Cassie to celebrate it with us.
And I have an excuse to have a family picture with my princess. You know how hard to have a photo with Calvin. Not sure what happen with him these days, I have fewer photos and I don’t have couple pictures no more. Believe it or not, my computer is full of my princess pictures now. Not shots by Calvin but me. Guess, this is what man turns into after facing you for a long period.
