Fanshell Overlook
Right after the Mystery Spot; we headed to the boardwalk since us already there on Santa Cruz. This is my second time on the Boardwalk. I like the beach and its way different from where I came from. I grew up surrounded by beaches but nothing as beautiful as this. With a live band going on and the amusement park made it prefer for a tourist destination.
Here is the little bit of the definition where I got it from the Wikipedia :
The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is an oceanfront amusement park in Santa Cruz, California. Founded in 1907 and operated by the family-owned Santa Cruz Seaside Company since 1915, it is California’s oldest surviving amusement park and one of the two seaside parks on the West Coast of the United States (the other being the Santa Monica Pier). The West Coast once hosted many more beach parks, including the pike in Long Beach, California, Neptune Beach in Alameda and Playland at San Francisco’s Ocean Beach. All have long since closed, but the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk survives as a reminder of a bygone era in amusement.
Turkey Legs! My favorite and I want it once I saw it. I won’t miss the turkey leg coz it’s so damn good. And we were having fun playing with it too.
The next day, we bought Elaine’s friend Pat to Santa Cruz since he never been there. So, I suggested mystery spot since everyone talking about it if you’re going to Santa Cruz. It’s not far from my place. It’s about the same time as going to San Francisco.
Mystery Spot discovered in 1939 and opened to the public in 1940, the Mystery Spot has been visited by hundreds of thousands of people of the years. Many have returned to show their friends the numerous variations of gravity, perspective, compass, velocity and height that intrigue the visitor to come again. According to writer Jules Archer, who lives in Santa Cruz, the Mystery Spot is “one of the most attended attractions in the Santa Cruz area – people come from all over the world to experience its strange force.”
The Mystery Spot is an area about 150 feet in diameter located in the redwood forests just outside of Santa Cruz. Within the Mystery Spot the laws of physics do not apply. It appears as though every law of gravitation has gone haywire, turned topsy-turvy and just doesn’t make sense. Some unseen magnetism or phenomenon just upsets all former ideas of equilibrium. The sensational Mystery Spot is a series of surprises that are unique, different, and inexplicable!
