Los Angeles Day 1

I went for a trip to L.A. together with Calvin and Henry. Main purpose of going to L.A. is for the 2 gentlemen to watch the Lakers game and site seeing for Henry. And for me, I just tag along. Here the case, I suppose to stayed home and hang out with my girlfriends but Calvin wanted me to come along with him. Well, he been telling me that he miss me already for the whole week. Pushing and pushing, I went. He’s more important than anything.

We had a road trip. Woke up at 6am in the morning on Friday. Getting ready and had a quick breakfast at McD. Why in a hurry?? Coz they have a game on the same night. We hope to reach L.A. in noon time. Everything went well as we had planned. Honestly, I dislike road trip. From here to L.A. took about 5 to 6 hours drive. And it’s depends on situation. I’m bored to dead and I kept falling asleep at the back of the car. Arrgggg……………

Chow Chow Dog

What you know about Chow Chow dog? I have no idea till I saw one. I was amazed by the fur and it look like a bear or a lion face to me.

Chow Chow or Chow is a breed of dog that was first developed in Mongolia about 4000 years ago. And was later introduced into China, where it is referred to as Songshi Quan which literally means Puffy Lion Dog.

It is believe that the Chow Chow is one of the native dogs used as the original model for the creation of the Chinese guardian lions in ancient China. When no one had ever seen a real lion before when stories reached China that Buddhist temples and Monasteries in India were being guarded by the traditional stone lions found in front of Buddhist temples and places in India. Hearing the stories carried there by Buddhist monks traveling from India the Chinese sculptors modeled statues of Fu or Foo lions, the lions of Buddha after these native dogs and created an icon of an animal never before seen in China, the Chinese guardian lions.

Sweet Tooth

Last Sunday, I hang out with Maggi and Michelle. We went to the mall and do some shopping but we talked more that shop. That’s totally fine with me as I’m enjoying myself. I missed doing girlie stuffs. To Know Maggi living close to my home, even made me so happy. She’s happy too. We claimed that we going to be BFF. LOL……. Sound like high school girl. Will see where god put us in the future. Right now, I’m happy that I have someone to hang out.

Before we head home, we decided to get our cupcakes which we saw the last time we had dinner together. I like cupcakes coz it look pretty. I bought 5 mini cupcakes. Just to tested and see which one tasted best. The cream or icing tasted too sweet for me. Over all, it’s yummy!

5 Mini Cupcakes
Meyer Lemony Lemon (vanilla cupcakes with a tart lemon filling and lemon buttercream)

Fluer De Sel (chocolate cupcake with caramel filling, ganache frosting and fleur de sel)

Sweet Vanilla (vanilla cupcake with a sweet madagascar bourbon vanilla frosting)

Peanut Butter Milk Chocolate (chocolate cupcake with a creamy smooth peanut butter and milk chocolate ganache frosting)

Kara's Karrot (moist carrot cupcake with a silky soft cream cheese frosting)

Baker Beach

Beside we went to Golden Gate Bridge. We managed to stop by at Baker Beach. Just next to the Golden Gate Bridge. This is my 2nd time stepping at Baker Beach. I remembered the first time I was there. It was freeze to cold and I can’t wait to leave. But this time…. Which I was pretty surprised. It’s not as cold as I remember. And I enjoyed it more this time and it turned out to be pretty exciting too.

This time, I get to see the defenders of the golden gate. It’s really interesting knowing the history of the golden gate and witnessed the machine. It’s really COOL. I’m so glad we stop by Baker Beach before we left. We I can’t really remember the history when the guy tried to explain to us. I’m so busy taking photos and checking out dogs. What I know of is that, this is part of the Fort Garrison and we’re at the 6-inch gun battery ground. Some might know as disappearing gun. This building was name as Battery Chamberlin, built in 1904. Here the link for better information : http://www.angelfire.com/bc/sanfranartillery/Chamberlain1.html
