Almighty Olympics cookout

Calvin and I volunteered ourselves in helping in this event on Saturday. The University of Santa Clara was hosting this even which is a Christian club called Core. As for my church, South Bay Church is helping out preparing the lunch for them. All we need to do is gets the food and prepare it. It’s like a sponsoring.

We just want to know them better and mingle around with those kids. I really enjoyed myself besides being cold most of the time. I don’t think I help much. I just don’t. But I get to experienced and I love to volunteer in any events. They had it at Central Park, Santa Clara and it’s my first time there. The park was amazing. Big and a lot of barbeque pits. It’s a nice place to have picnic or a cookout with family and friends.

After the cookout, we kinda hungry still. Oh…. We did eat with the kids but not much. We so afraid that the food not going to be enough for them. Anyways, Calvin is the driver and so he have to look for place to eat. As we driving around and thinking of places, we saw this student’s car on the road and realize the mistake of the sign.

Did you see it? I thought it suppose to be “Student Driver”? This is America, you see funny things sometime.

Then Calvin decided to try out the El Pollo Loco which he been craving for it. He always told me about this fast food restaurant in Guam. Of course, I want to try it and see what so best about it. It tasted okay an Calvin told me, it’s not what he thinks it is. He kinda disappointed about the taste and I totally get him. I felt the same way too when I went back from vacay. Some of the food just doesn’t taste right but not sure what it is. Is not that bad, the chicken just a bit to dry for me and I liking the Spanish rice and add some spicy sauce with it. It was perfect. I finish the whole rice. Will I come back for more? I don’t think, I will crave for it. Maybe once in a blue moon, I believe.
